Veronica was born in Santiago Chile in April 1964 but she lives in Juarez City, Mexico 23 years ago. As a Visual Artist, she has dedicated thirty-three years of her life to the Painting ́s World, experimented mostly with oil painting, mono-serigraph, aquatint, “Colorgrafía” (patented in Chile), fumage, acrylic and watercolor.  She has exhibited in around 75 solo exhibitions and 80 Collectives in 10 countries: Mexico, Chile, United States, Cuba, France, Austria, Luxembourg, Greece, Germany and Switzerland.

 

Education

1982 – 85

Bachelor degree in Audiovisual Communication specialized in Cinema Direction and Production, Art & Social Science Institute (ARCIS for its acronym in Spanish). Santiago, Chile.

1985 – 88

Master Artisan in Goldsmith, National Craftsmanship School. Santiago, Chile.

1993 – 94

Pottery Workshop, conducted by Master Soledad Leonicio. Santiago, Chile.

1996 – 97

Engraving and serigraph workshop, Self Help Graphics. Los Angeles, CA.

2016 –17

Top 10 Finalist in the conquest Plattform: Artist of the Year from Red Wood Media Group, exhibited at Art San Diego (Nov. ‘16), Spectrum Miami (Dec. ‘16), Art Expo NY (Apr. ’17) & Art Santa Fe (Jul. ’17).

2015

Honored by Mrs. President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet with a medal for her vast experience and contribution to the strengthening of relations between Mexico and Chile. Given by Mrs. President of Chile in Mexico City.

Scholarship: David Alfaro Siqueiros to her Individual Investigation in Visual Arts. Chihuahua, Mexico.

 2009 –10

DIRAC Award, that gives the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile.

2007
